Our View

One&Only has found exactly the right island for a resort of this calibre, and having your own infinity pool above wild Vroskopos Bay makes Kéa feel wonderfully private and rather special.

About

Descending through the hillside above Vroskopos Bay, One&Only Kéa Island is an all villa retreat where 63 private pool hideaways, a 100 metre beach and the raw beauty of Kéa create one of the Cyclades' most ambitious coastal resorts.

Kéa gives One&Only a very different canvas from the familiar whitewashed islands further south. The landscape is rugged and elemental, and the resort responds with architecture built from locally sourced stone, Greek marble and great expanses of glass. Villas appear to emerge from the hillside, their strong horizontal lines following its contours as they descend towards the sheltered bay.

There is drama here, but it comes from scale and landscape rather than decoration. Lofty spaces frame the Aegean, terraces reach towards the horizon and the surrounding cliffs provide a powerful backdrop to the water below. It feels substantial, beautifully grounded and entirely appropriate to an island whose appeal has always been tied to its unspoilt terrain.

Rooms & Suites

Every one of the 63 villas has a private infinity pool, immediately giving the resort an unusual degree of privacy. Generous living areas open through broad glass doors onto terraces designed for swimming, dining and spending much of the day outdoors, with sea and bay views following the changing position of each villa across the hillside.

Cliff Villas occupy some of the most dramatic positions, while panoramic categories open the outlook even further. Family Bay View Villas provide additional flexibility, and the Two Bedroom Grand Panoramic Villa creates a particularly impressive retreat for families or friends travelling together. Wherever you stay, having a private pool as part of every villa changes the character of the resort, making your own terrace every bit as tempting as the beach below.

Dining

Atria is the culinary heart of the resort, taking the produce and traditions of the Cyclades as its starting point and bringing them into a polished contemporary setting. Local ingredients play a central role, giving dinner a genuine connection to Kéa and the surrounding islands while the architecture keeps the sea firmly in sight.

Down at the water, Bond Beach Club is altogether more relaxed. Lunches stretch into afternoons beside the bay, with drinks and lighter dishes carrying the mood towards sunset. The contrast between Atria and Bond works particularly well, giving the resort two distinct dining experiences that belong naturally to their respective settings.

Experience

The 100 metre beach is one of One&Only Kéa Island's greatest assets, tucked into a protected bay where clear Aegean water invites swimming, snorkelling, canoeing, windsurfing and diving. An outdoor pool adds another place to spend the day, while tennis, cycling and horse riding extend the possibilities back onto land.

Kéa itself deserves attention. Hiking trails cross a landscape of ancient paths, oak forest, valleys and archaeological remains, while boat trips reveal coves and stretches of coastline inaccessible from the road. Cooking classes, walking tours and experiences centred on local culture provide further ways into island life, making this a resort where leaving your private pool occasionally brings considerable rewards.

Wellness

The One&Only Spa is a destination in its own right, bringing an indoor pool, sauna, steam room and extensive treatment facilities together with a serious approach to fitness and movement. Massages and body therapies sit alongside facials and beauty treatments, with dedicated relaxation areas providing somewhere to disappear between them.

Yoga, fitness classes and personal training complement the spa, while the setting makes outdoor activity equally compelling. There is something particularly satisfying about returning from a morning on Kéa's trails or the water to a treatment, followed by the absolute privacy of your own infinity pool above the bay.

Where

One&Only Kéa Island occupies Vroskopos Bay on the island's west coast, reached from mainland Athens by sea. Its relative proximity to the capital makes Kéa unusually accessible for a Cycladic island, yet the protected bay, rugged hills and private beach create a sense of genuine escape once you arrive.
